SHARON KINGSTON - ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING - ASHORE
This painting is part of the 2009 series titled after the age of abundance. My desire was to find a way to coax the beauty out of the ugly, to take chaotic beginnings (the underpainting is quite dense and complicated) and simplify to a point where I represented my emotions and thoughts with the least amount of visual clues. There is no particular landscape that I referenced, but more of an imaginative sense of place and of hope rising. 24 x 48", oil on canvas with painted edges. A maple floater frame is available for an additional $200.
